    Sea Oat Restoration

We are again going to help restore the Sea Oats at the Indiatlantic Boardwalk on February 4th this year. This will take the place of the January meeting. This year the town came together and have purchased (through us) 14 trays. That is over 1300 sea oats! Some people from the town may join us as we plant them this year. I would like for everyone to meet on the beach at 10 AM. I will have the sea oats and the permit. I do need to know how many cars are coming so that we can have the proper number of parking passes. Also, it would be nice to know how many people are coming so that we know how to prepare for the cookout afterwards. Also, Starbucks is hoping to supply coffee.

    Four individual systems Right now.
30gal red sea 130d lps/softies/anemone tank, kalk ato, reef bright led strip.
    40 softies set up.
550 total gallon marineland 300 DD main system 18 months old now and stabilized. T5 VHO lights/ BLUE led strip, Fully custom built LIFE REEF sump and FUGE, AWESOME 60" tall skimmer, and 1000+ gallon rated custom Ca reactor, 3 50 gallon attached SPS frag systems lite with a combination of HM and LED and T5 fixtures.
A 200 gallon MARS quarintine with UV system/ medication for new arrivals.

Still lots to learn about the hobby but I have amassed a great collection of real beauties. I have broken past the stage of keeping things alive and now there actually growing out. Which is a big hurdle for many beginners I must admit. Good information and advise is hard to get sometimes and the club has done wonders with respect to quality advise and help in the hobby.

Dianna and a friend will be going. I'll still be at home studying for the bar exam. I do not think they'll be staying after for the BBQ.

Problem is animals keep using it as there water closet.
Worst of all the littlest ones keep using up all the supplies.

I went out yesterday to the beach to look at where we need to plant this year. Many of the sea oats that we planted last year are looking great and they held up during Hurricane Matthew! We have 5 areas that we would like to do this year. I am looking forward to this and hopefully it will catch on. I had a guy see me looking over the sea oats and talking with our Indiatlantic contact and he asked if we were going to plant more and if he could help. Of course, I said "yes"!

Oh, Nahacky's (a saltwater store in the area, many of of visited last year) will give our members a 10% discount off of livestock on Saturday. Just a FYI.

The approximate address is 27 Wave Crest Ave, Indialantic, Florida, near James Nance Park. It is approximately 1 1/2 hours from Orlando. There is metered parking at the boardwalk, but the city will give us parking exemptions.
