    Cool In Wall 125 Gallon

So some of you know I just got a new house and there was a 125 in the wall already. I didn't want to take risks with old stuff so I am replacing it.

What follows in this thread is the replacement and upgrades to the system for years to come.

Thanks for viewing and I hope you enjoy.

I found this to be funny as I didn't know they made big tanks.

I decided I had to start curing my marco rock. I was thinking, why not use the natural light and heat of the day to help. I have a power head and heater in each container with about 30+ lbs or marco rock.

Comments, concerns, or questions on this?

What happens when you don't drill big enough holes for overflow? :p

Couldn't move tank myself so I went under and drilled holes bigger...
I guess I have to plan stuff better...

I'm planning on building wall and putting my 125 Gal tank in it. I'm looking for any suggestions, plans, or stories about their attempts.

I love DIY projects and creating unique conversation pieces. Since it's all new construction I'm sure there are some great ideas.

So, I ordered my sump tanks, and another mag 12 for a return. I will be using 2 Mag 12s for return, and the sump will be 2 29gallons piped together. I decided to do this so I don't have to remove center brace of stand.

I will add pictures once I get the tanks drilled and installed.

This is the front view so far. I will have better pictures when I have the tank up and running.

Also, should I use a refurgium or a algea turf scrubber?

Starting to do the plumbing on the tank.

To reduce the chances of vibration I used aquarium silicone and laid several beads in the tank for the return pumps to rest on. I will also be using flexible pvc tubing to connect to the hard lines that will be fixed in place.

Several ball valve unions and unions will be used for safety and to optimize cleaning or reconfiguring down the road.

I will have more pictures to come.

I bet. When my girlfriend moved in I need to make a small room for her son to live in until my roommate moved out. So I made sure when I put the wall I did the frame work for a tank to sit on. Im torn now, I really want to put the tank up but I dont want to kick my roommate out. lol
