    Trip To Sea World

    ORCA Board,
There was an announcement at last nights meeting that the club is planning a trip to SeaWorld. This is a great idea! There was a general vote of interest at the meeting, but I am not sure all of the options were explored.

    - Suggest sending out a club email requesting folks to visit the website and vote. This would also allow others that missed the meeting to allow their voice to be heard.
    - Suggest options that are separated from each other. At the meeting the vote included two options that were combined (SeaWorld trip and Easter weekend). Our family like others I heard in the back of the room, were in favor of the Sea World trip but would prefer a different weekend since Easter weekend is usually spent with family or travel.
    - Suggest the radio button poll selections include;
    1. Interested in trip to Sea World including backstage tour and use of the Park. Vote: Yes /No
    2. If you selected Yes to supporting the trip, select desired dates (select all dates that you could support going on the trip). Vote (Board inserts available dates for the trip as options): Date 1; Date 2; Date 3

    Thanks for your consideration.
    Bernie

I jumped the gun and overstepped. The voting thread has been removed because not all the dates on the list were available. A new thread will be created if required.

Ray has the detailed information, I know we only have some options for dates, April 7th and a couple of Saturdays in May and June, I can't remember the exact days though.

    Guys,
This is being worked on/finalized now. I went with the vote at the meeting which was "yes, do it." I didn't check the forum to see all this brewing. Right now this is in the final stage of negotiation between SeaWorld and ORCA.
I don't have all of the finalized answers right now. But, I didn't want to let this thread continue on without some response. I expect to have the details this week.

    Here is the latest...

SeaWorld has a large event (that was growing) on the 4/7 date that we had a hold on. I told them that we would be open to another date. The next open date that SeaWorld had was Saturday May 19th. I booked that. Details will follow in coming days. Mark your calendars...

If you are thinking about bringing the kids and they are 5 or under - google SeaWorld preschool pass and sign them up for free admission (for the year).

Thanks for the tip! A quick Google search turned up tons of links to the local news outlets. If anyone else is looking, here's a more direct link to the Preschool Pass.

May 19th will probably work better since we'll have more time to promote this event and invite other clubs.

Calendar has already been marked for that day, we're 4 plus the little one who still doesn't count.

    That date works for me.
Judy & I will be in attendance.
Might bring the Grand Kids, but we all have Annual Passes, so I hope that will be OK.

Remember kids 5 yo and under have free admission to Sea World, here's the detailed information :

    From http://commerce.4adventure.com/estor...f/default.aspx

    1. What is the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Preschool Pass?

SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa are delighted to offer the Free 2012 SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Preschool Pass. This FREE Pass grants kids ages 5 and younger complimentary admission to BOTH SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa through Dec. 31, 2012.

    2. Who is eligible?
The SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Preschool Pass is available for kids who are Florida residents and are 5 years old and younger.

    3. My child is 5 this year, turning 6. Am I still eligible?
As long as your child is 5 years of age on or before the date you register for the Pass, your child is eligible.

    4. Do I have to be a Florida resident?
Yes. We want to offer our neighbors who are 5 and younger unlimited access in 2012 to all that our parks have to offer. This gives Florida residents the chance to experience such wonderful attractions as Shamu’s Happy Harbor at SeaWorld and Sesame Street Safari of Fun at Busch Gardens, as much as they like in 2012.

    5. How long is the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Preschool Pass valid for?
The pass is valid through Dec. 31, 2012.

    6. Is it available at other SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment parks?
No. The pass is only valid at SeaWorld ORLANDO and Busch Gardens TAMPA.

    7. How do I register?
Visit SeaWorld.com or BuschGardens.com and click on the box for the 2012 Free SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Preschool Pass. Fill out the form and submit it online. Print the e-ticket and bring it to the front gate at either SeaWorld or Busch Gardens, along with a valid form of identification that proves the child’s date of birth.

    8. Where do I receive the Preschool Pass?
This offer is not available at the front gate. You must register your child online before you get to the park. You can redeem your e-ticket at any ticket window at either SeaWorld Orlando or Busch Gardens Tampa.

    9. What kind of identification do I need to provide?
Valid identification includes your child's original birth certificate or a travel Passport. Please note that school IDs or children security IDs will NOT be accepted

    Good info Cesar!

My Grand Kids are 10 & 12 so we bought them annual passes when we got ours.
It is a great investment, we visit Sea World all the time because of the free parking and admission.
    Plus 10% off all purchases

Are you asking for any day attendance or with the ORCA Group?

Check with Ray about the Group Cost.
