I have to thank Steve for the idea on how to move my tank. I used a car jack and moved it about an inch from the wall. I did tweak the stand doing so however. Hopefully, it will be fine.

Possibly, I have to move him around a little more to see where it likes. I don't have many spots to pick from either lol

    Thanks for the advice

    My female clown jumped boat.

I guess I have to put a top on the tank instead of the free hanging fixture.

Been about two months sense my last post. Nothing has really changed sense then. I did remove the two overflow boxes and went with a single cpr overflow for more room in tank and better flow. I used to have my mag 12 half throttle in the tank. I can have it open all the way now.

My Emperor Angel is starting to morph. He is getting yellow along his bank. I will attach a picture, a little hard to see as he doesn't like when I get close with the camera lol

He has been munching on my Ora Chip Acro lately, and seems to only be picking at that. So its all his if he wants it :p

    Plumbing Options

Great looking tank. FYI, I don't know if people know this but Lowes and HD sells flexible PVC in 1/2 - 3/4 - 1 inch thickness. Its a great saver for not having to use 90's or 45's.

    Keep up the good work!!!

So I just measured my tank with our Quantum meter. The tank goes from :

    1250 Under MH's
    350 1'' under water
    280 6'' under
    190 9'' under
    150-170 on misc spots sandbed

Thanks to this I actually moved my frag rack that was in 100par to a spot with 270 for growth and color.

I was wondering what pocillipora like their par around does anyone know?

My rainbow monti, purple slimmer, blue milli, and forest fire were @ 280

    Phil,

Your tank looks great! I love how you did your rock formation.

I'm curious though... The wet/dry sump; isn't that more-so for fish only tanks? I was told it becomes a breeding ground for nitrates after while?

Yes, that is true. I have to vacuum it out every now and then to get the built up sediment out of the sump. I wouldn't say its for Fish only. It more of another way to have a biological filter in the system. That is my thoughts. However, I am sure there are other people that would do it other ways. I just didn't feel like doing a Diy at the time of setup. There are many many things that I would upgrade in this setup and that would be one of them. However, it isn't on top of the list.

Thanks for your comment, and look forward to chatting with you more.

While I was gone on vacation my RBTA finally passed. It wasn't looking good for the last couple of months. I am not really sure why it died. It was close to 200 par rating with 14k ushio's, I feed it every couple of days a silver side. My clown fish loved to swim in it. I don't know if this was the problem sense it was a small anemone or what.

Also my flame angel abandoned ship. I need to get a cover on this tank asap. I am waiting to get my Led's for the tank then probably put a canopy on top of it with them in it. I just don't know how they will mount in it.

So, the baby Nassarius snails have hatched. I didn't think they did sense I didn't see them on the glass after a week. I noticed them today when cleaning the tank. Look at the sand

Also heres a video of my tank. Bad quality however

Purple Bonsai , This was sold to me as a Purple Bonsai. However, when you look at the pictures of them on internet they all have green polyps. Mine are brownish to purple, to white. If you think you might know what its true id is please let me know.

Dismantled the rock on left side with the green star poly on it. Removed the rock broke off the Purple Bonsai and put back in with a new rock. It was hitting the sps and killing it where it touched it. So, its gone now

One bonus is I got about 4 pieces of rock that have some growth of it on it so I am kind happy I did it
