    48.5" x 19" stand

    Here's the information to build a 48.5" x 19" stand. I added a one inch to the edges of the stand. The wood was purchased and cut at Home Depot. I got the design idea from a Youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jN4Y9AYuwcQ

    Here's the shopping list for the stand (minus some of the plywood for the outside).

    Quantity Length
    4 => 49.5" (length + 1") 2" x 4"
    8 => 17" (width + 1" - 3") 2" x 4"
    6 => 36" (heigth) 2" x 4"
    4 => 29" (extra support for four corners of the stand) 2" x 4"
    6 => 29" (extra support for the corners and the middle of the stand) 2" x 6"

    Items to purchase
    6 => 2" x 4" x 10' boards
    1 => 2" x 6" x 16' board
    1 box of #8 2.5" length wood to wood screws

    I bought the wood yesterday. It took me approximately 4 hours to build the frame for the stand. I'm going to add plywood to the top, bottom and sides. The top and bottom are going to be fastened with screws. The sides and front are going to be magnetic quick release.

    Thanks! I can't edit my original post. The 29" support lumber fits between the top and lower 2" x 4"s (3.5" each, lengthwise), so the math is the heigth minus the 2 - 2" x 4" (Heigth - 7" = 29"). I'm hoping the details might help someone if they want to build a similar stand.
