Circulation Pumps
Afternoon all,
I am in the early stages of setting up my 90 gallon and was curious what type of circulation y'all have on you tanks. Previously I had Hydor koralia, which I had on a wave maker, but was thinking of upgrading. So I would like to know what pumps you use? and why?
Thanks
Jimmy

I have a Gyre and a MP40 on my 210g.
Love them both.

I have 2 jebao pp8 on my 90g. I love them they are fully controllable and affordable.

i had 2 MP40s on the 300 at school. They died and I replaced with Jebao.
I have 1 MP40 and one Jebao on my 220 at home.

I have a mix of everything and honestly feel like the price pretty much reflects what you can except life wise out of them. The gyre has alot of moving parts that seem to ware out but bang for buck there pretty great. The ecotech MP's are very reliable and go for ever if you clean them once and awhile. Not a big fan of the hydor or korilla pumps long term they have issues but are very cost effective. The new pumps from APEX might be worth looking into, i have not tried them yet. GL

gone though many hydors. seem to last about 2 yrs, similar experience with one Jabo. Have a vortech that has been runing for years. and recently added another. Also sicce pumps on two tanks seem durable and to be pretty bullet proof.
